From a very young age, books have been my faithful companions. They have taken me on countless adventures, introduced me to extraordinary characters, and opened windows to worlds I could never have imagined. Today, I want to share my journey with reading and how it has shaped the person I am becoming.

Where It All Began

I still remember the first book that truly captured my heart. It was a rainy afternoon during summer vacation when I was in Class 5. My grandmother handed me a worn copy of "The Secret Garden" by Frances Hodgson Burnett. At first, I was reluctant. With no television or internet to entertain me due to a power outage, I had no choice but to dive into those yellowed pages.

What happened next was magical. Within pages, I was transported to Misselthwaite Manor, walking alongside Mary Lennox as she discovered the hidden garden. I felt her loneliness, her curiosity, and her joy. That rainy afternoon turned into three days of non-stop reading. When I finally closed the book, I knew that I had discovered something precious – a love for reading that would stay with me forever.
